Other local jobs included working at His Majesty's Theatre Aberdeen (HMT) as front of house staff. She soon appeared on stage when she played Annie Oakley in the Stars of Tomorrow. This was the first appearance by Joyce Falconer at HMT Aberdeen. More small parts followed including singing in the choir of Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat whilst a pupil at Torry Academy. In December 2006 Joyce Falconer, now a well known star throughout Scotland and the world, returned home to play Cinderella in the Aberdeen panto at HMT.
