My new novel:

The Fence Aberdeen Zombie post apocalyptic military survival Novel Book

The Aberdeen skies are under attack from an enemy jet. It is spilling a strange yellow smoke. Minutes later, people start killing each other.
Former Royal Air Force Regiment Gunner Jason Harper witnesses this and then his wife, Pippa, telephones him, shouting that she needs him. They then get cut off. He sets straight out, unprepared for the nightmare that unfolds during his journey. Everyone seems to want to kill him.
Along the way, he pairs up with fellow survivor Imogen. But she enjoys killing the living dead far too much. Will she kill Jason in her blood thirst? Or will she hinder his journey through this zombie filled dystopian landscape to find his pregnant wife?
The Fence is the first in this series of post-apocalyptic military survival thrillers from the torturous mind of local horror and science fiction novel writer C.G. Buswell.

Karen Ross is a 30 year old sport science graduate, who studied in Glasgow.  She loves playing any sport and had especially done well competing at high levels in Tennis, Football and Volleyball.  Currently, most of her training is focussed on various strength and cardio training techniques in the gym. It is these private training methods that have helped Karen to get into the best shape of her life, and she can help you do the same.

Karen currently works at the Warehouse Health Club on Mearns Street, Aberdeen and prefers this gym venue for the first consultation meeting.  This also means you can access the good facilities there while training with her.  Karen is currently keeping her prices low for personal training clients whilst she builds up a client base in Aberdeen making this an ideal time to take advantage of her professional service.

Personal Training Aberdeen

Like most personal training professionals Karen will start with an initial consultation. This enables her to assess your current state of health and define your fitness goals which can vary from person to person. Common fitness goal examples can include weight loss, reducing stress and anxiety, or simply just wanting to get fitter and look better. Once decided upon, this gives Karen and you not only an agreed starting point but also a benchmark against which to measure your progress. When Karen learns about your goal she will then be able to develop and prescribe an individual exercise programme tailored specifically for your individual needs.

Aberdeen Lynne Golden Retriever

Have you seen my beautiful golden retriever Lynne out and about in Aberdeen? Ask her for a high-five! She's a Bravehound PTSD assistance dog, so we'll often be in shops, restaurants, and the cinema together.

We've written a book where I talk about growing up in Aberdeen and then joining the army to be a medic and nurse, and developing military Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

I also talk about losing my son to suicide and the therapy I have had at Royal Cornhill Hospital and grief support groups in Aberdeen.

The author, Damien Lewis, said of Lynne:

"A powerful account of what one dog means to one man on his road to recovery. Both heart-warming and life-affirming. Bravo Chris and Lynne. Bravo Bravehound."

Benefits of exercise

There are many benefits of exercise and these include an increased sense of well being, improved muscle tone, reduced body fat and weight loss and psychological benefits which include improved self-image and self-esteem.

Benefits From a Personal Training Program

The benefits of personal training with experienced and qualified trainers is that he or she will be able to assess your current level of fitness, then consider your goals and then devise an individually tailored regime to help you achieve those goals quickly and safely.

Do talk to other personal trainers and gather information about how each can help you before choosing who to train with. Consider the venue and or whether the fitness instructor can make home visits or if you prefer to get out and about and attend a gym or health and fitness centre. Do remember that you will be working closely and regularly with your personal trainer in Aberdeen so you must be able to like them and relax yourself whilst working out. Remember, a good instructor will motivate and encourage you, and a good programme will be both fun and challenging.

Do make sure your personal trainer Aberdeen does a fitness and health evaluation which should include any medical conditions which could affect the way you need to train. This enables your personal trainer to tailor a bespoke programme in line with your aims and goals and health status. Your fitness instructor will more than likely perform a lifestyle screening questionnaire which is a short form profiling your medical history.

Your stamina levels will be assessed through your aerobic fitness and strength by an exertion test to see how you react to exercise. This could be done on a treadmill machine and or asking you to perform exercises such as sit-ups or push-ups.

A body composition test can determine how much body fat you have by lightly pinching different areas of the body with a pair of callipers. This can also include measurements of your waist, hips and thighs.

Flexibility exercises such as asking you to touch your toes can determine your flexibility at the start of your training and throughout your time at personal training.
