Scots lassies Lynne Cadenhead and Lucy-Rose Walker invented the Scottish board game Scottish Quest in 2004 and it was launched on St Andrew's Day in 2005.

Their aim is to help educate people about the history and culture of Scotland in a fun way.

To play the game players have to tour around a map of Scotland answering a series of questions about Scotland, famous Scottish people, history, customs and traditions and modern life. Their website has question examples and pictures and photos of the game.

If you have a photo or want to share memories that aboutaberdeen can display on this page for other reader's to enjoy then please contact me.

Each general knowledge question has a choice of multiple choice answers.

The currency of the game is sovereigns which players can use to travel around the map of Scotland and to use as payment. Destiny cards are an added feature of the game and these can delay or speed up your journey around Scotland.

The Scottish Quest Board Game is made by The 1745 Trading Company.

In 2006 the makers of Scottish Quest created a new charity board game which features many North East of Scotland National Trust properties like Crathes Castle and Fyvie Castle. The game is called the Trust Quest game and is available direct from www.nts.org.uk
