    Child Science Museum Workshop

This innovative child science museum and workshop makes a great day out for young and old.

Each weekend there are various themed events and workshops, and all children who participate can make something and take it home. Satrosphere is a fun learning environment that brings science alive and explores its relevance to real life situations. For example, there have been workshops about how chocolate is made, exploring the rainforests, noise, recycling and making Christmas decorations.

Maw Broon fae the Sunday Post has published a cookbook full of her favourite Scottish and family recipes. Read More About It Or Buy Now!

There are seasonal events timed with festivities such as Halloween, Bonfire Night and Easter. The events are run every hour. Whilst waiting for the timed events there are many items to explore and have fun with in the main hall. These include sound and light experiments, radio and TV exhibits and food stands.

Satrosphere Science Centre welcomes school parties and organises a structured day for the children. Teachers can download a free teaching pack to use at school. During school holidays, there are more activities and workshops to keep the wee ones amused.

The gift shop sells more fun science projects and experiments.

The adjoining cafe serves a range of homemade baking and soups at affordable prices.

Satrosphere Science Centre also caters for birthday parties, which includes a party leader member of staff to help entertain and supervise the group, party food, party bags, full use of the event and exhibitions and the famous giant soap bubble where each child can be enclosed in a magic bubble!

Satrosphere Science Centre is open from 10am - 5pm each day.

There is ample free parking and the Beach Boulevard is only a short walk away.

Toilets are in the main hall next to the cafe.

There is disabled access to all events and areas.
