From the 1st to the 8th of October 2005 Radio 2 are bringing their Roadshow to Aberdeen. There will be live
concerts and broadcasts from leading venues such as The Lemon Tree, His Majesty's Theatre and
The Music Hall. Acts include Texas, Tony Christie, Natalie Imbruglia, Moby, Jools Holland, KT Tunstall and Mick
Hucknall.
Radio 2 presenters who will be in Aberdeen include Terry Wogan, Bob Harris and Dermot O'Leary.
Maw Broon fae the Sunday Post has published a cookbook full of her favourite Scottish and family recipes.

October
1st - Dermot O'Leary will be presenting a live show from the University of Aberdeen Marischal College at 3:30pm (broadcast
on Radio 2 at 5pm). Guest performers include Moby, Natalie Imbruglia, Gavin Degraw and Hard-Fi.
2nd - Sold on song will be broadcast from The Lemon Tree, Aberdeen. The programme will be broadcast at a later date by
Radio 2. Admission is at 7pm and performers include Mick Hucknall.
3rd - Jools Holland will be performing live at The beach Ballroom with the Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, Ruby Turner
and Sam Brown. The programme will be broadcast at 9pm on Radio 2. Admission to the event is at 7:30pm.
4th - Mark Radcliffe will be hosting a live show at Moshulu Nightclub, Aberdeen with guest performers KT Tunstall,
Richard Hawley and Ampop. It will be aired on Radio 2 at 10:30pm and admission is at 9pm.
5th - A free Folk Show will be held at His Majesty's Theatre, Aberdeen at 6:30pm and broadcast on Radio 2 at 8pm.
Guest performers will include Karine Polwart, Barbara Dickson and the Michael McColdrick Band.
5th - Mark Radcliffe will be hosting a second live show at Moshulu Nightclub, Aberdeen with guest performers The
Tears and David Ford. It will be aired on Radio 2 at 10:30pm and admission is at 9pm.
6th - The Bob Harris Country Show will be broadcast live from The lemon Tree, Aberdeen at 7pm. Admission is at 6pm.
Guests include Rodney Crowell, Gretchen Peters and The Believers.
7th - Terry Wogan will be broadcasting his breakfast show (a Highland Breakfast Show) live starting from 7:30am
in Aberdeen. It is a non ticket event.
7th Jeremy Vine will be broadcasting his show live from the North Sea on a Total oil rig. It will be on Radio 2
at noon. This is a non ticket event.
7th - Ken Bruce and The BBC Concert Orchestra with Tony Christie perform a Music Night conducted by Robert Ziegler
live from His Majesty's Theatre, Aberdeen. Admission is at 6pm and the performance will be broadcast at 7:30pm on
BBC Radio 2.
8th - An educational proms event at 2pm at Summerhill Education Centre, Aberdeen.
