Palace Hotel Peterhead
The Palace Hotel Peterhead offers an extensive breakfast, lunch and evening meal menu. Meals can be eaten
in the bar or the bistro section. It is a delight to visit the Hotel, it is always efficient and a warm welcome is always
given. It is one of the few Hotels in the area that still has a maitre de and all staff are smartly attired in matching
uniforms. Service is always prompt though not rushed, even on a busy day. Though the hotel and staff seem formal it has
a relaxed atmosphere and the surroundings have a retro feel with the old Cadbury's wall plaques, wooden ornaments and
pictures. There is plenty of room between the tables and families are welcome. Highchairs are available and disabled
and pushchair access is via the lift.
Menus At Palace Hotel Peterhead
Menus are extensive and there are daily specials of soup of the day, over three main meals and an extra pudding.
Recommended starters include haggis croquettes served in a luxurious whisky sauce which are delightfully soft
and moist in the centre. The seafood chowder gives an early indication of how well the chefs prepare and serve
their locally caught seafood. It is thick and generously portioned with chunks of prawns, cod and haddock.
There are a range of burgers, steaks and salads in the main menu. For the big appetites there is a huge mixed grill
which contains a steak, sausage, lamb cutlet, liver, bacon, and black pudding with a fried egg, tomatoes, mushrooms and
onion rings.
All seafood is caught locally and is lovely and fresh and served in many ways which includes a tasty seafood curry
with various thick chunks of fish in a mild creamy curry sauce. Filleted fish is served in traditional sauces and seasonal
vegetables and there is a delicious seafood crumble with several fish and salmon and prawns with a creamy white
sauce and a lovely cheesy glazed topping.
We also run the
www.findextrawork.co.uk website where there is information about earning more money from a
range of part time and full time jobs which can be done at home or out and about. Visit for more information.
Pasta dishes are our firm favourite here, especially the spinach cannelloni which goes quickly - you need to book
this one when you make your reservation!
Another firm favourite for our regular visits is the green Thai curry served with peppers in a rich sauce.
Accompaniments include chips and cheese, a favourite North East dish. There's also twister fries and delicious
garlic bread.
A range of snacks include omelettes, sandwiches and baked potatoes, all with a range of fillings and toppings to
suit most appetites.
Vegetarian dishes include a range of salads, fajitas, pasta dishes and stir fries.
Sweets and puddings include home-made sticky toffee pudding and cheesecake, a range of ice-creams, apple pie and
cream and banana splits.
There is a range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks available from the bar and a wide range of coffees, hot chocolate
and tea.
Portions are generous.
