- Guide To Mrs Bridges Upstairs Downstairs Cook, Actress Angela Baddeley And Peterhead Teashop
Cafe.
This delightful teashop cafe in Peterhead is named after the Cook in the television programme
Upstairs Downstairs
that ran from 1971 to 1975. Actress Angela Baddeley played the role. It's an apt name - Mrs Bridges cooked some delicious
meals for the household and this cafe cooks some mouth-watering home made bakes, cakes, soups, snacks and meals.
Mrs Bridges Peterhead
The tearoom is located on the main shopping street of Peterhead and is at ground floor level, so is accessible to the disabled
and those with pushchairs. The interior is tastefully decorated and local artists display their works of art on the wall.
These can be purchased. The interior is spotlessly clean and it's a real delight to eat here. Mrs Bridges makes a perfect
place for meeting friends over a cup or a pot of tea or coffee. Though I do recommend their tasty hot chocolate with cream, served in
a tall glass, its pure delight!
Maw Broon fae the Sunday Post has published a cookbook full of her favourite Scottish and family recipes.

Cooked breakfasts are served all day and are healthily grilled, rather than fried. Their eggs are fresh and light.
Cakes and home bakes and biscuits are made daily and are a delicious accompaniment to your cuppa. You can view these
on the cakes trolley and be enticed to your choice.
Lunch Menu Mrs Bridges
The lunch menu consists of baked potatoes, panini sandwiches, bread roll, and bread sandwiches with a range of over
a dozen fillings. Each day there are specials such as fresh fish and meat dishes with fresh potatoes and vegetables
for under £6, home made soups with a fresh bread roll for about £3 and hot puddings for about £2. Do try their
Stovies
it is the best I've ever tasted.
Portions are big, and all meals are prepared and cooked fresh to order. Service is quick and attentive.
Children are made welcome and those who behave get rewarded with a wee sweetie! There is a separate menu just for
children with cheaper prices.
