Miss Aberdeen City and the Miss Great Britain Competition entry for Aberdeen Scotland with photos and information about Miss Aberdeen City:

Miss Aberdeen City is chosen each year as part of the Miss Great Britain competition. Miss Aberdeen City is chosen from the entrants for Miss Great Britain Scotland and then goes through to the final of Miss Great Britain along with regional city winners from England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the other Scottish city winners.

Alana Morrison

Alana Morrison was crowned Miss Aberdeen City 2010 on 18 June 2010 at the Tiger Tiger nightclub in Aberdeen. During this event there was three judging rounds which were swim suit, evening wear and a question and answers season. Example questions during this heat of Miss Aberdeen City included which female would you say is most iconic in the UK at the moment and why do you want to win Miss GB.

As Miss Aberdeen Alana Morrison will attend PR events, charity events and will model at wedding exhibitions and for local newspapers and magazines throughout 2010 and 2011.

The final for Miss Great Britain 2010 is a four day event from 2 to 5 December 2010 at the grand re-opening of the Weston Super Mare pier in England. Liz Fuller has taken over the ownership of Miss GB and promises to make this final the biggest in history. There will be up to 2000 people at the event and this includes the elite of the fashion and modelling world, celebrities, media and winners past and present. The finals of Miss Great Britain will be shown on TV with a celebrity judging panel.

On Friday 3 December 2010 Miss Aberdeen City Alana Morrison will attend a Miss Great Britain Christmas cocktail evening. The rounds at the final are: the opening number in Miss GB uniform, British inspired cocktail dress, swim suit round and evening gown. The Miss Great Britain finalists are them split into the top 25 then the judges will whittle the finalists down to 12 then 5. The final prizes have not yet been announced but we do know that the winners first photo shoot will be at a 5 star spa resort in Italy.

Alana Morrison will be warring a dress at the final provided by Stephanie Bain, the owner of Bridal Boutiques in Aberdeen City.

Winning Miss Aberdeen City has been the beginning of a dream come true for 24 year old Alana Morrison:

I have always wanted to do something like this but never believed I could. I suffered in the hands of some real nasty girls whilst at high school and lost all confidence I had. After appearing on Soccer AM as a Rangers soccerette on Sky Sports television I decided that a career in modelling was something I wanted to pursue and I have since then got my confidence back 110%.

I want to win Miss Great Britain and use my title to show young girls who are currently suffering in the hands of bullies you should believe in yourself, reach for the stars and never let anyone put you down. I've learnt the hard way that jealousy is always going to be there but you have to rise above it. I hope more girls from Scotland will apply next year and show that we have some of the most beautiful girls in the country.
