Aberdeen International Street Market
Throughout the year Aberdeen hosts an International Continental Street Market in the Castlegate and on Union Street
between Market Street and Bridge Street. From July 2007 the Aberdeen International Street Market will take place at Union Terrace rather than Union Street to prevent traffic
congestion in Aberdeen City. Only emergency vehicles will be able to access Union Terrace during the time of the markets.
Admission is free and there is free food tasting and samples.
Stalls include

- Crafts
- Gardening Items and Furniture
- Plants
- Drink
- Flowers
- Carvings
- Fresh Fruit and Vegetables
- Herbs and Spices
- Cheese
Stall holders travel from across Europe, including other areas in the UK, France, Belgium, Spain, Holland and
Italy.
The location of the International Street Market in Aberdeen closes to traffic from 9am until 6pm.

Friday 2 at the castlegate Saturday 3 to Sunday 4 November 2007 on Union Street

In addition to the International Continental Street Market there is a
Country Fair on Belmont Street.

The 2007 Aberdeen International Street Markets were organised by Groupe Geraud who are based in Paris, France.
The Aberdeen Civic Society were against the move from Castlegate to Union Terrace for the Aberdeen International Market because the Castlegate has been an historical location for markets throughout the centuries for Aberdeen markets
