Inner Space Crime Mystery written by Merlin Fraser was published in 2007. The novel has a paranormal twist in crime mystery. It is written by Aberdonian Merlin Fraser who was born in Aberdeen but moved to England aged six years. He returned to Aberdeen as an adult when he worked in the oil rigs.

It was when he was aboard an oil rig that Merlin Fraser first started his writing career to battle the boredom of working offshore. His first novel was partly written in his spare time on the rigs. The hero of his novel, Inner Space, is Detective Inspector Nick Burton. Merlin Fraser describes his book as a mystery story telling that features out of body experiences.
