Huntly Hairst Halloween Festival 2009
In 2009 HAIRST expanded into two separate festivals and the Huntly Hairst Halloween Festival 2009 once more celebrates the local harvest and Halloween traditions in the North East of Scotland. Huntly Hairst Halloween Festival 2009 encourages visitors from outside Huntly to participate in their festival. Huntly Hairst Halloween Festival 2009 hopes to encourage creativity by offering a variety of cultural events whilst showcasing local produce and talent. This is the 7th Huntly Hairst Halloween Festival and the theme for 2009 is Let there be Light! which will see Huntly turned into a stage: illuminating the picturesque town with a light spectacle, lantern making and laughter! Over the two weekends, there will be something for everyone with wonderful interactive installations, a farmers and continental market, street performers, a ceilidh and much more. Huntly Hairst Halloween Festival 2009 takes place over the weekends of the 31st of October and 7th of November.
Events take place in local venues such as Castle Hotel, the Glendronach Distillery, Cooper Park, Huntly Castle, the Rose and Thistle Bistro, Brander Library, The Square, Gartly Hall, The Stewart's Hall
