    Historic Scotland Free Entry Weekend Aberdeenshire


    Each year Historic Scotland throws open their doors to over 70 of their beautiful Scottish properties such as Castles, Distilleries, Abbeys, Mills, Priory's, Gardens, Cathedrals, Houses, Museums, Forts, Lighthouses and Palaces.

    The 2008 Historic Scotland Free Entry Weekend for Aberdeen, the Shire and Scotland is Saturday the 12 and Sunday 13 April 08.

    Opening times will be from 9:30 until 6:30, though please do check the Historic Scotland website for more information because some properties may close earlier.







    Please do consider leaving a donation, spending some money at the tea rooms and gift shops or take out a membership to help support our heritage.

    During the weekend there is a yearly membership offer. Those who take out a new annual membership to Historic Scotland on either of the free days will receive 6 months membership free. This gives you unlimited access to all the Historic Scotland properties.

    Fort George – last admission 5:45 pm

    Urquhart Castle – last admission 5:45pm
