The Foyer Restaurant, Crown Street, Aberdeen
The Foyer Restaurant serves some delicious meals and has an extensive range of coffees and a scrumptious
set of desserts. It's a real pleasure to eat in its relaxing and airy setting and best of all the profit
from the restaurant and bar goes to support the Aberdeen Foyer's work with young people.
The Aberdeen Foyer is a charity which helps to prevent and reduce homelessness and unemployment amongst
people aged 16 - 25 through supporting them with accommodation, training, education and employment opportunities.
The restaurant opened in 1999 and is seen by many as one of the best restaurants in Aberdeen: it certainly gets
AboutAberdeen's seal of approval. The restaurant serves some of the finest food in Aberdeen by some of the
friendliest and most efficient staff in the grandest of settings.
The Foyer Menu
There are two menus: the special lunch menu with lighter options which changes frequently and the seasonal menu. Both use the freshest
of ingredients and all dishes are cooked fresh. Prices are reasonable too with generous portions. For example you can
have soup and freshly homemade bread for under £4, chargrilled swordfish with cannellini beans, courgettes and lemon salad
in a romesco sauce for £13 or banana, butterscotch crepe with peanut brittle ice-cream for £5. Do try their creamy hot
chocolate drink with layers of Cadbury's flake, it's choccie heaven. All the hot drinks are served with a homemade
tablet sweet which is a cross between fudge and toffee.
There are several vegetarian options such as tabbouleh salad and beetroot tzatziki and gruyere with wild mushroom
risotto and toasted seeds. Children have their own menu which includes smoked haddock with mash and poached egg or
pepperoni and tomato penne pasta
The napkins are proper linen and the crockery and cutlery are top quality. Seating is comfortable and there's plenty
of space between tables. The restaurant and bar are all on one floor and there is disabled access to the building. There
is a disabled toilet and mother and baby changing facilities. Highchairs are available.
Opening Times
Tuesday through to Saturday from 10 am until 11 pm.
