Fountainhall was an 18th Century house in Blenheim Place in Aberdeen. It suffers from unexplained knockings and
bangings. Footsteps have also been heard, as has loud crashing sounds. On all occasions no-one is present and the
noises origins have never been traced.
It is thought that one of the former owners of the house had murdered his wife
for being the mistress of a Scots Nobleman. Her body is thought to have been hidden in the house.
Doctor Patrick Copland, a Professor at Marischal College in Aberdeen, lived at Fountainhall. He died in 1822.
