North East Scotland novelist Doris Davidson was born in 1922 in Aberdeen. She is a retired primary school teacher and has written over 9 books. Her first book was published in 1990, though written in 1984. She still lives in Aberdeen.

Doris Davidson will be performing a book signing of her new novel, Monday Girl, on Wednesday 27 June 2007 at the Waterstone's book shop in the Mall Trinity Shopping Centre in Aberdeen City from 7pm. The book signing event will include a reading from her new romantic book by the actress Loraine Mudie.
