David Stuart Calder Zoey Elkhound
Aberdeen author David Stuart-Calder wrote the book Zoey the Elkhound where the dog in the title tells her
own story about her life and her master.
David Stuart Calder and Zoey have been inseparable. David ran a DIY shop in Buckie with Zoey by his side. Then they
moved into a gardening business before moving together to Jamaica to perform security work. Zoey went with David to
Jamaica and chapters in the book narrate her journey there and back to the UK six years later. She also tells tales
about her 2 week quarantine in Jamaica and the lengthy six month quarantine when she returned to the UK.
Zoey the Elkhound is a delightful story. It warms the heart and at times makes you sad - but is a joy to read
and is suitable for all ages.
David now lives in Aberdeen.
