Aberdeen boasts a new curling centre in Summerhill which is open to everyone from novice through to professional
players.
Beginners can go to professionally run classes to learn the rules of curling and the proper techniques. This is an
excellent opportunity for children and adults to develop their skills in the national game of Scotland.
The rink plays host too many National and International events, so pre-booking is recommended.
The sheet (the name for the ice lane, there at 6 at the arena) can get quite cold, so do wrap up warm. Rubber soled shoes are recommended so
that you can slide along the ice, though special blue plastic overshoes are available to wear.
There are facilities for the disabled including wheelchair users.
