Aberdonians will be familiar with the talent of Scottish actress, singer and dancer Amy Lennox with her outstanding performance as Cinderella in the 2006 pantomime at HMT Aberdeen. From this she auditioned in front of Andrew Lloyd Webber for the role of Liesel, the eldest sister in the Sound of Music. Amy had to sing You are 16 going on 17 as part of the audition with many other hopefuls. Amy Lennox was picked and started rehearsals in August 2007 and The Sound of Music first night was on the 24 September 2007 at the London Palladium.

In Mile End Primary School Amy Lennox played the lead part in her school production of The Princess and the Pea. This gave her a taste for performing and Amy joined many local Aberdeen amateur productions such as the Giz Giz theatre whilst at Aberdeen Grammar School. Here she met Annie Inglis Aberdeen's well loved drama teacher who has helped many Aberdonians in their performances. Amy Lennox then joined the Aberdeen Youth Music Theatre where she had early experience of performing in The Sound of Music as Louisa, one of the younger sisters. After this performance Amy Lennox performed in her first panto as Wendy in Peter Pan in 2003 at His Majesty's Theatre.

Amy Lennox studied at the Guildford School of Acting. Her parents, dad Iain and mother Wendy, still live in Ferryhill, Aberdeen. Iain works for the Cornerstone charity whilst Wendy is a solicitor. Amy Lennox has a brother called James and a sister Victoria. They are both showing show business talent with James being in a local band whilst Victoria is a dancer.
