Amber Wilson Aberdeen Singer Morcheeba Band
Biography of Aberdeen singer Amber Wilson who is the lead singer of the band Morcheeba:
Amber Wilson is a singer, songwriter and guitarist from Aberdeen, Scotland. From her teens she played locally in bars and clubs throughout Aberdeen City and sang live on stage at
Free At The Dee 2006.
In 2007 Amber Wilson was playing her acoustic guitar music at a local gig and her music was appreciated by some musicians who were performing with Amy Macdonald. Later in the week she received an e-mail from one of the musicians who had seen her Aberdeen performance asking if she would like to audition for the band Morcheeba as the lead singer because their current singer had recently left the band to start a family.
Amber Wilson impressed the rest of the Morcheeba band members with her audition performance and was invited to join them on their European tour. In July 2007 she joined the Morcheeba band singing in Romania and to a crowd of 16000 at the B'Estival in Bucharest. Amber Wilson and Morcheeba have also performed at the GuilFest in Surry, England and in Belgium, Hungary, Lithuania, Spain and Switzerland.
