    Each year Aberdeen plays host to a tennis tournament between Scotland and England at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC). It can be watched on Sky Sports.

    2006 Aberdeen Cup


    The second Aberdeen Cup took place on Saturday 25 - Sunday 26 November 2006 at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. It again featured Andy Murray and Greg Rusedski.

    Scotland, led by Andy Murray won the 2006 Aberdeen Cup at AECC. His brother Jamie Murray was also in the Scottish team. Members in the England team included Greg Rusedski and James Auckland. The final scores were 6-4, 3-6 and 13-11 between the Murray brothers and Greg Rusedski and James Auckland.

    The Aberdeen Cup Tennis Tournament promoters were WSM. Sponsors were Aberdeen City Council, Event Scotland and Aberdeen Asset Management. Scottish Enterprise Grampian had also committed support to the event.

    Sky Sports Digital TV broadcast the tennis matches.


    2005 Aberdeen Cup Winner

    Andy Murray for Scotland won the Inaugural Aberdeen Cup.
